Livrana keeps your memories only on your device. We run no servers with your data, there are no ads, no tracking, and nobody's information is ever sold.

What data the app handles, and where it lives
Your memories, photos, books and profile (name and date of birth) are stored only in your device's memory. Livrana does not receive them and cannot see them.
If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it, including the automatic copies it keeps on the phone; that is why the app encourages you to keep copies off the phone.
When an update changes how the data is stored, the app keeps an internal copy of how it was on the phone for 30 days, in case it needs to be recovered; you can delete it sooner in Settings › Backup, and it is deleted if you delete the app, like the rest of your data.
Microphone and dictation
Dictation is recognised on the phone itself, with the device's own speech recognition: your voice does not leave your phone. Livrana does not record or keep your audio; it only receives the recognised text, which stays on your device like any other memory. The first time, the phone may need to download the language data. If it cannot recognise speech on its own, the dictation option does not appear. The system may ask for microphone permission: you can withdraw it at any time in your phone's settings.
Notifications
If you turn on Question of the day, the reminder is scheduled on the phone itself: it does not go through any server. You can turn it off in Settings or withdraw the notification permission in your phone's settings.
Backups
Backups are a single file (.livrana format), always encrypted with the password for your copies, which you choose. Without it, or without your recovery code if you created one, nobody can open them — not even us. The key the app uses to make copies without asking for your password again is kept in your own phone's secure storage.
If you turn on automatic copies, the app keeps up to three copies on the phone (the last day's, the week's and the month's), and only on the days you use it. To have them off your phone, you decide where to keep them: sent wherever you like, or in your own cloud (for example your Google Drive or your iCloud). If you keep them in your cloud, the file lives in your account under that provider's terms; Livrana has no access to it.
Livrana does not take part in the system's own cloud backup: on Android it is not uploaded to Google's backup, and on iPhone its data stays out of the iCloud backup. If you move your data directly from one Android phone to another, by cable or Wi-Fi, Livrana can go with it.
If you forget the password for your copies and didn't create the recovery code, nobody can open them — not even us.
Purchases
Purchases (Livrana Pro and Path themes) are processed by Google Play or the App Store, with your store account and under their own privacy and refund policies. Livrana does not receive your payment details: the app only asks the store which purchases you have in order to unlock them. On Android, the Google Play purchase library, which is part of the payment system, may send Google technical data about purchases, under Google's privacy policy.
More: Google privacy and Apple privacy.
No ads, no analytics
The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. No profiles, no cross-app tracking, no cookies.
Children
Livrana is not directed at children under 13. The app does not collect personal data: whatever each person writes stays on their own device.
Your rights
Because your data lives on your device, access, rectification and erasure are exercised directly in the app (edit or delete memories, delete the app). For anything related to purchases, or any question (including GDPR rights and complaints to your supervisory authority), write to support.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version here with its date and mention it in the app's release notes in the store.
